I went into er last week for a painful left shoulder. I had a lovely young woman named Rachel for my nurse. She went above and beyond to make sure that was comfortable and happy despite being an ER patient. Upon my discharge, knowing I had a broken foot as well, Rachel delivered me to my car in a wheelchair. She should be commended for going above and beyond giving care!

Mother's Day took a nasty turn this year and my partner needed the care of an ER. The Henry County Hospital was closest and he received excellent care from intake to release, in spite of the busyness of the ER that evening. We were shown kindness and treated with respect.

I see a number of bad reviews, so I think it's important to share my experience in the ER. Mothers Day, about 4:30 pm I took a tumple that resulted in a hand and arm injury. This ER was the closest and due to the minor arterial bleed, I wanted to get someplace fast. The ER was experiencing a life threatening emergency, and was fairly busy. My injuries, although gnarly, were not life threatening. I was seen promptly and treated by a competent nurse initially and then stitched up by a superb NP. 29 stitches and several x-rays later I was released. I hope to never return, but am confident that if I need to I'll be treated in the same competent manner. I sincerely appreciate the care I received.
